K1 Spray+ is a through coloured render perfected for spray machines and is also suitable for hand application. The formula delivers effortless usability and a fine texture finish which is available in 20 standard colours. K1 Spray+ is light to rule and robust to scrape with a versatile scrape window. Designed with ease of use at the forefront, it offers excellent build out without slumping and is suitable for new build and refurbishment projects. K1 Spray+ provides a weather resistant low maintenance finish and can be used as a one coat, two pass product or as a one coat, one pass when used with a K Rend base coat depending on the substrate and can achieve a scraped texture or roughcast finish.

Application Instructions

APPLICATION

  • K1 Spray+ is designed for render spray machines as well as hand application.
  • Add material to the feeding hopper and adjust water supply to achieve the desired consistency. Open time - approx one hour
  • For hand application, add 4 - 5 litres of clean water per 25kg sack
  • Mix thoroughly with drill and whisk for at least 10 minutes to break down the additives.
  • Do not polish
  • Small areas such as quoins and window reveals may be finished smooth
  • Use polythene sheeting to protect doors, windows and other features from any over spraying during application


FIRST PASS

  • Using a 12mm or 14mm diameter mortar nozzle, spray K1 Spray+ directly on to the prepared wall surface to the required thickness of 4 - 8mm
  • Level out immediately, using a straight edge, smoothing trowel or float
  • Allow the first pass to stiffen before applying the second pass, the time passes being shorter in warm dry conditions, and much longer in extreme wet conditions


SECOND PASS

  • Use 8mm or 14mm diameter spray nozzle according to the finish required. The normal recommended finished thickness of most finishes is between 12 - 14m
