Silicone Masonry Paint

Silicone Masonry Paint provides an attractive, matt, coloured finish for exterior use on masonry substrates.

It is manufactured with a combination of silicone resin and mineral fillers to provide outstanding water repellence.

Coverage:

18kg container of paint will sufficiently cover approx. 45–65m2 using two coats on a smooth surface, as per the application instructions

Coverage for textured surface:

approx. 30-36m2per 18kg container should be assumed

Application Instructions
  • The paint should be stirred well prior to use
  • Full elevations and adjoining panels should be coated with the same batch of paint to ensure colour consistency
  • Apply a first coat of Silicone Masonry Paint, diluted up to 10% with clean water
  • Once the first coat has fully dried, apply a second coat of Silicone Masonry Paint, undiluted
  • The drying time between coats is approximately 8-12 hours
  • Silicone Masonry Paint can be applied by brush, roller and spray. Seek technical advice for further details
  • Do not apply this product at temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C

Colour Enhance

Colour Enhance is an environmentally friendly, high performance water-based coating, designed to enhance the appearance of existing scraped render surfaces.

The product is formulated with an acrylic polymer and property enhancing additive to give long-lasting colour, good penetration, and excellent handling properties. The colour range has been developed to match our scraped texture range.

Application Instructions

FIELD OF APPLICATION

  • Existing rendered substrates (both old and new)
  • Is suitable for application onto both scraped and unscraped finishes


PREPARATION

  • A test panel to check colour and final appearance is recommended
  • Surface should be fully cured, dry, level and free from efflorescence as well as loose or friable material including coating, oil, soot, lichens and dust
  • All necessary repairs to the render should be carried out before application
  • Treat fungal or algal growth with Algae Clean prior to coating with K Rends Colour Enhance
  • Mask all adjacent surfaces including windows, sills, doors, timber, glass, brick and flooring
  • Protect weather exposed surfaces


APPLICATION

  • The coating should be stirred before use
  • Apply a first coat of K Rend Colour Enhance diluted 10-15% with clean water onto dry substrate
  • Apply a second, undiluted coat once the first coat is dry
  • The drying time for the coating is approximately 3-4 hours
  • Coating can be applied by brush or roller. (For optimum results, extra-long pile rollers are recommended)

Mineral Paint

K Lime Mineral Paint is a highly breathable, naturally durable and environmentally friendly paint that provides an attractive, matt, coloured finish for exterior and interior use.

It is ideal to use as part of full specification within the K Lime range to keep the ideal performance for heritage projects.

  • Mineral Paint can be applied by brush, roller and spray. Seek technical advice for further details
  • Do not apply this product at temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C
