GP Mix is a premium general purpose render suitable for float coat, scratch coat or masonry mortar.

Offering a new and improved formula with reduced drying times and improved workability, GP Mix is a general purpose drymix rendering and masonry mortar requiring only the addition of water and mixing prior to use.

It is designed to be used with brick and block as a masonry mortar, a rendering mortar (float coat) or as a bedding mortar for paving. When used as a render, GP Mix can be applied by hawk and trowel or through electric and diesel spray machines to receive a finish such as K Paint (Silicone Masonry Paint).

GP Mix Application Instructions
  • Substrates should be clean, sound and free from material that may reduce adhesion
  • For hand application, add 4 - 5 litres of clean water per 25kg sack. Mix using drill & whisk or tumble mixer for 5 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes to allow additives to wet-out, then mix for a further 2-3 minutes
  • Apply using traditional bricklaying and plastering tools such as hawk and trowel or through a plastering machine
  • Do not apply this product below 5 °C or above 35 °C or to frozen or thawing substrates
  • Avoid application to elevations in direct sunlight
  • Rule render to line and level, and allow to ‘pick up’. This time will vary according to temperature and humidity
  • Finish with a floated or sponged texture
